I've recently returned from Hamar in Norway, working with Jammy Voo on their co-production of The Sleeper with Teater Innlandet there.
Though in Hamar for just a few days, I got first-hand experience of the fantastic hosting and resources at the theatre - I was given a spare office to work from, shown around the beautiful theatre spaces and invited to join the evening meal they specially put on for the company (complete with show themed decorations). I was reminded of how important it is to welcome artists into the building you work in - not just through a meet and greet on day one but by a general ethos throughout all staff levels to welcome and engage those visiting your organisation.
The Sleeper is now on tour throughout Norway, whilst I'm simultaneously exploring touring in England in 2018. Here are some photos from the production (by photographer Gisle Bjørneby) as well as some snaps I took from the visit.
